The locking assembly (also called clamping set, shaft locking device, clamping element) is a keyless connection device. Its principle and purpose is to generate a huge clamping force between the inner ring and the shaft, and between the outer ring and the hub through the action of high-strength tension bolts to achieve a keyless connection between the machine and the shaft.
